Kibosh Router 2.0 Upgrade Firmware / Reset to Factory
- Log into your Global Dashboard
- How to log into Global Dashboard
- Go to Manage Device > Upgrade Firmware
- If you have a lot of settings you don’t want to lose, choose Upgrade Firmware.
3. Upgrade Firmware, Clearing All Device Settings is like doing a factory reset and will wipe all settings. This is your best option if you’re having issues of any kind, and what I always use.
NOTE: You can update the firmware even if it’s the same version without hurting anything.
NOTE: You can update the firmware many times without hurting anything.
NOTE: If you clear all device settings it’s a factory reset. So if you’re troubleshooting something – please reset the firmware.
Step by Step:
- Log into your Global Dashboard
- Go to Manage Device > Upgrade Firmware
- Click Upgrade Firmware if you want to preserve your existing settings.
- Click Upgrade Firmware, Clearing All Device Settings for a ‘restore to factory’ type update.
- Wait five minutes, patience….
- The krn600 Wi-Fi may disappear and then reappear a few times (so wait five minutes)
- Reconnect to your Kibosh Wi-Fi
- Password for both Wi-Fi is back to default: abcd0001
- Both Wi-Fi: krn600 / krn_5g_600
- Password for both Wi-Fi is back to default: abcd0001
- Bring up your Dash
- Manage Device > Update Firmware and make sure your “…device is up to date.”
- Manage Device > Wi-Fi and change your wireless back to the way it was prior to the firmware update.
NOTE: Connected Hosts will not show real device names for a few hours post firmware update. You can expedite this by restarting the device(s) which will force them to check in (or wait and they will check in eventually).
