How to block Top Level Domains (TLD).
There is a growing list of domains available to purchase, these are called Top Level Domains (TLD). Examples: .com, .org, .info, .edu, .mil, .au, .ca, etc.
With Kibosh you can easily block any TLD you don’t want exposure to. This is an excellent way to reduce your online threat vector, i.e. if you block a TLD this blocks all websites hosted on that TLD.
How to block TLD:
- Log into your MyFilter Dashboard in your browser, or open your MyFilter app:
- Go to Web Filter > Blacklist
- Under Block a Website enter one rule for each of the following Top Level Domains (TLDs)
- .com
- .net
- .org
- .info
- .biz
- .edu
- ….all Top Level Domains you are concerned about.
- Save Filters
In about 10 minutes those TLD, and all websites hosted therein, will be blocked.
